About Sims4UICheats

Sims4UICheats is an independent fan site covering The Sims 4 cheats and mods. Cheat data is read out of the game's own files rather than copied from other cheat lists. We never host another creator's mod: every download button points at the creator's own page.

What this site is

An independent reference for The Sims 4 cheats and mods, built by people who got tired of cheat lists that had been copied from each other for a decade without anyone checking whether the commands still worked.

It covers the console commands the game registers, the mods that make cheating easier, and the reasons cheats stop working after a patch.

Where the cheat data comes from

We read the game. The Sims 4 ships its gameplay code as Python bytecode and registers cheat commands with a decorator, so the complete command table can be extracted directly from the installed files. The game's executable holds a second, separate table of its own.

That produces a fact no cheat list can reach by transcription: of 1,847 registered commands, only 633 can actually be run by a player. The rest are developer or automation commands that do nothing when you type them.

The full method, including the cases where we could not prove what we wanted to, is at about/how-we-verify.

How we treat other people's mods

Most of the mods described here were made by someone else, for free, in their own time. Three rules, and they are enforced by the build rather than remembered:

  1. We never host a mod file. The download button points at the creator's own page. No mirrors, no backup copies, no direct links to a file the creator hosts somewhere else.
  2. The creator is credited by name above the fold, linked to their own home page.
  3. Support links go to the creator's own channel, not to us. They wrote it; they are the ones who can help.

We checked the terms nine creators publish before writing any of it. Not one permits re-hosting. Not one objects to being written about and linked to. Linking out is both the safe option and the one creators explicitly ask for.

Where a creator publishes no terms at all, we treat that as unknown rather than as permission.

Things we will not do

  • Put a mod behind our own download, our own ad wall, or our own link shortener.
  • Link the mirror sites that re-upload creators' files without asking.
  • Publish a cheat we cannot source, without saying that we cannot source it.
  • Claim a command was verified against the game when it was not.
  • Leave a stale download link up because it still gets traffic.

One of those is not hypothetical. While researching the mod directory we found a former creator domain that now redirects to an offshore gambling affiliate page, still linked from the creator's own live mod page. Anyone transcribing that page by hand would republish it. It is in a blocklist the build checks, which is why the rule is code and not a note.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, it should be fixed rather than defended. Patch-dependent facts carry the build they were checked against, so you can tell at a glance whether a page has gone stale rather than guessing from a year in the title.

Common questions

Is this site affiliated with EA or Maxis?

No. Sims4UICheats is an unofficial fan project with no connection to Electronic Arts or Maxis. The Sims and The Sims 4 are their trademarks. Nothing here is endorsed by them, and nothing here should be read as an official statement about the game or about what EA permits.

Do you host mod downloads?

Never. Every download button sends you to the creator's own page, and the build fails if a mod page tries to link a file on our domain or on a mirror site. Mirrors strip the creator's credit, go stale silently, and are how people end up installing something other than the mod they wanted.

I am a creator and I want my mod removed from this site.

Say so and it comes down, no argument and no conditions. We list mods because it helps players find the real download, not because we have a claim on anyone's work. The same applies if you want the description reworded or a different link used.

Are the cheats safe to use in my save?

Cheats change game state directly, so they can produce results the game did not expect. Save first. That is a genuine risk rather than boilerplate, and it applies to cheats typed into the console just as much as to mods that set values through the interface.
